Bavarian Industry Association (VBW) is a voluntary, interdisciplinary and central group of interests of the Bavarian economy and represents 132 Bavarian employers and business associations, as well as 40 separate companies. In the branches of associations of members of VBW there are about 4.7 million employees working in the social sphere throughout the territory of Bavaria.

The Union also represents general economic, social and socio-political interests as the state representation of the BDA (Confederation of German Associations of Employers) and BDI (Federation of German Industries).
