Since May 2017 Irina Panarina has been appointed to the position of General Manager of AstraZeneca, Russia and Eurasia. Irina is responsible for AstraZeneca business in Russia & Eurasia Area and she leads AstraZeneca Russia. AstraZeneca is an Anglo-Swedish international biopharmaceutical company that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialization of prescription medicines, primarily for the treatment of diseases in three therapy areas - Oncology, Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolism, and Respiratory & Immunology. As the Business Ambassador of Business Russia to Sweden, Irina Panarina interacts with representatives of Russian and Swedish business, state authorities, embassies and trade missions, scientific and medical organizations, public and other organizations, which makes a significant contribution to the development of interstate cooperation and strengthening of business ties between the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Sweden. |
Core activity |
Meetings of the Business Russia Committee for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry are held on a regular basis. In 2020, as co-chair of this Committee, Irina Panarina initiated four meetings dedicated to pressing issues of the development of healthcare in Russia. Irina Panarina directly participates and speaks at round tables hosted by various organizations dedicated to the development of Russian-Swedish relations and trade, economic and cultural cooperation between countries, as well as the development of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare and medicine supply. |

Since February 2018 Irina Panarina has been the Member of the General Council of the Business Russia. Since 2020, she has been a member of the Coordinating Council of Business Russia and co-Chair of the Business Russia Committee for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry. In 2021, Irina Panarina was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Russian President for organizing and conducting events aimed at social support of citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. |
